Our Impact
According to the United Nations, the world’s population is expected to increase by 9.7 billion by 2050. With this increased population, comes consumption which will place unparalleled demand on the world’s food system. However, the current global food system is broken. In order to meet future needs, the system must change.
“Reducing a community’s reliance on distant markets, intermediaries and food price fluctuations can be met by decentralizing access to resources, finance and technology. Local food systems will be strengthened while higher value and certified products can be sent to larger markets.
